Question:

I want to connect my 173x logger to my Wifi network, how do I activate the Wifi option to do this?

Answer:

By default the part of connecting your PC directly to the Wireless function of the logger is active, but it is also possible to download data via your normal Wifi access point.
For this part to work the logger needs to be connected to your Wifi network.

This requires activation of the so called "Wifi infra-structure option".

How to activate a license from a PC:
Go to www.fluke.com
Go to the product registration page and select your region, country, and language.
Then:

1. Select Brand > Fluke Industrial.
2. Select Product Family > Power Quality Tools.
3. Select Model Name > Fluke 1736 or Fluke 1738.
4. Enter the serial number of the Logger.

   Note for serial number :
You must enter the serial number correctly (no blank characters allowed).

The serial number is found in the Status Information screen or on the back decal of the Logger.
Do not use the serial number of the power supply module.

5. Complete all the fields and submit the form.
An e-mail with the license file (*.txt) is sent to your e-mail address.
6. Create a folder named "Fluke173x" on a USB flash drive.

Do not use spaces in the file name.
Make sure the USB is formatted with FAT or FAT32 file system. (In Windows, USB flash drives ≥32 GB can be formatted with FAT/FAT32 only with 3rd party tools.)
7. Copy the license file (*.txt) to this folder.
8. Make sure the Logger is powered from mains and turned on.
9. Insert the flash drive into the Logger. The USB Transfer screen pops up and offers the license activation.
Proceed with SAVE/ENTER button. A message window informs you when the activation is complete.
