Problem Description: Power switch does not work with a battery
Resolution/Work Around: The power switch is only used for the AC power source. This turns on and off the AC power going to the internal power supply, where the internal power supply will convert the AC voltage to 12V DC voltage.
When the two-conductor DC power plug is connected to the DC power socket, the DC power socket will disconnect the internal power supply and use the battery or DC source. The DC power socket has a built in switch.
So, if both the AC power and the battery/DC source are plugged in, then the battery or DC source will be used. To return to AC use, the battery or DC source must be removed.
