Title:  Why does my micro-bath struggle at -30°C and how does the fluid move?

Applies To:  7103

Problem Description:  Stirring seems to slow down when used at -30°C

Resolution/Work Around:

The stirring of the 200.05 silicone oil at -30°C is more difficult than at higher temperatures because of the increasing viscosity as the temperature drops.  Centrifugal force pushes the fluid from the center of the bath up along the sides until it is drawn back into the center of the tank and circulated back around.

Depending on what the full temperature requirement is, there might be a better choice of fluids for -30°C (if the max temperature is not too high).
