Reboot the computer and try MET/CAL Editor again and if the issue persists, try the following Short and Long methods described below.
Short Method:
Delete these three directories if present
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Fluke\mce32
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Fluke\mce32
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\
Next remove the associated registry key. You may have to get your computer support person to help with this.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Fluke\mce32
Reboot computer
For version 10.2.2 download the offline installer packages and follow the instructions from the MET/CAL readme Special Instructions
For newer versions of MET/CAL 10.4 and later, skip to section below
for versions 10.4 and later the offline installer is already in the installers directory.
Next, install each prerequisite manually from the MET/TEAM server:
\\<servername>\metteam\Installers\METCAL\ISSetupPrerequisites\
During this process watch for errors and if there are any, take a screen shot to send to support.
In the current versions, there are four installers under \ISSetupPrerequisites.

Run: ndp48-x86-x64-allos-enu.exe

Run: vc_redist.x86.exe

Run: vs_isoshell.exe
For this last prerequisite when installing version 10.4 and later, install using vsupdate_KB3022398.exe instead of the web installer version.

After these are installed, reboot computer again and test the MET/CAL Editor. If you get errors upon log in, capture them and send them to softwaresupport@flukecal.com or try the Long Method below.
Long Method
In rare instances, it may be necessary to uninstall all instances of visual C++ and Visual Studio from the computer prior to following the Short Method detailed above.
It is strongly recommended that you attempt the short method first.
The process is as follows:
1 - Use this article on How to completely uninstall MET/CAL
2 - Use this article to ensure the startup.ini file in your server's METCAL share is correct: How does my MET/CAL Client installation see my MET/TEAM database?
3 - Once MET/CAL has been uninstalled:
- Uninstall Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Shell (Isolated)
- Reboot the computer
- Reinstall the desired MET/CAL version, applying any updates / hotfixes to go to the desired version. Typically these are located in the METTEAM shared Directory on the Server: \\{MET/TEAM server name here}\metteam\Installers\METCAL
If you are still having problems opening MET/CAL Editor or creating or opening a project in MET/CAL Editor, please follow these instructions:
