This tutorial shows how to configure a P3124 deadweight tester to be used with
COMPASS for Pressure software in the Limited Partial Correction method. It applies to any deadweight tester.

In short, the Limited Partial Correction method uses COMPASS for Pressure to make a local gravity
correction. This is the simplest approach for using software with a deadweight tester.

A second tutorial addresses configuring the software for Full or Partial Correction methods of operation. See this article for that tutorial, P3100 DWT setup in COMPASS, full (or limited) corrections

The user should be familiar with the P3000 Series Uncertainty Analysis technical note 2170TN13
-- “Guide for the Uncertainty Analysis in Pressure when using P3000 Series Deadweight Testers”.

Screenshot of a deadweight tester in COMPASS for Pressure. Local gravity can be changed. Ambient conditions can be changed although no corrections are made for ambient conditions. They can be logged in the data file.
