It is very common to want to simply show a "pass" or "fail" as the status when running test points in COMPASS and to show the same in a COMPASS Report if also generating these for customers.
To enable this within COMPASS go to Tools/Options and select the End Test tab. Select the option for "use PASS/FAILfor the status of each test point". Click on Apply and OK so all future data files/reports will show this for the Status field:
This is not the default selection within COMPASS as the Status field normally displays more detailed info in this field that some prefer. By default COMPASS will log the Status column for each test point as either blank, T, R, r, t. When blank it indicates no issues were detected during that test point and here are the other potential status code descriptions (multiple can appear):
