Title: Remove a stuck insert from a drywell

Applies To: All drywells with removable inserts
Problem Description: The removable insert is stuck in the well of the drywell
Resolution/Work Around: Using the insert removal tongs in the insert, use a ¾ inch metal rod or a spare ¾ inch insert and tap on the upper part of the tongs to jar the insert loose. Also, using a pair of needle nose pliers will help the tongs not to come loose.
The insert could be lubricated with either WD-40 or ethanol. If WD-40 is used, after the insert is removed, clean the well and insert thoroughly and heat up to max temperature in very well ventilated area.

Other Information: A piece of fine sandpaper (400 grit or above) may be used to remove any oxidation or scratches from both the well and insert. A scotch brite pad may also be used.
