Problem Description:  Constants need manually entered into the 1521 or 1522

Resolution/Work Around:  

Follow these steps to enter the constants into the meter or probe: 

Press and hold the MODE button until “CAL MODE” appears on the screen.

Press the ENT button

     “Mtr Due XX/XX/XX” will be displayed

Press the ENT button

     “Prb Due XX/XX/XX” will be displayed

Press the ENT button

     “Time:   XX:XX” will be displayed

The current time can be entered in here by pressing the UP or Down arrow and then ENT to save.

Press the ENT button

     “Passcode 00000” will be displayed

Enter in the Passcode for this unit. Use the Up and Down arrows followed by the ENT button.

Once the correct Passcode is selected press the ENT button.

If “Invalid Passcode” is displayed, start back at the beginning and try again.

If the Passcode is accepted, “Date: XX/XX/XXXX” is displayed

     The current date can be entered in here. UP and Down arrows follow by the ENT button

Press the ENT button

     “Probe Lock: Off” will be displayed. You can lock the probe constants here if you wish.

Press the ENT button

      “Prb#:   XXXXXXX” will be displayed. You can enter the serial number for the probe here

Press the ENT Button

      “Prb Type: XXXXX” will be displayed. The Probe type can be entered here.

Press the ENT button

Depending on your probe type, the next thing displayed will be the constants for your probe. Use the Up and Down arrows followed by the ENT button to enter in the correct parameters for your probe.  

Press the ENT button

     “Probe Wires: X” will be displayed. Enter in the number of probe wires for the probe.

Press the ENT button

     “PCal: XX/XX/XXXX” will be displayed. Enter in the probe calibration date.

Press the ENT button

     “PDue: XX/XX/XXXX” will be displayed. Enter in the probe due or recalibration date.

Press the ENT button

     “Uploading params” will be displayed. The memory chip in the probe connector is updated.

     “Filter: XX.X” will be displayed. You can change the filter settting here.

Press the ENT button

     “MCal: XX/XX/XXXX” will be displayed. Enter in the meter’s calibration date here.

Press the ENT button

      “MDue: XX/XX/XXXX” will be displayed. Enter the meter’s due or recalibration date.

Press the ENT button

      “CAL1:   _X.XXX” will be displayed. Enter the CAL1 constant from the Report of Cal.

Press the ENT button

      “CAL2:   _X.XXX” will be displayed. Enter the CAL2 constant from the Report of Cal.

Press the ENT button

You are now back the Date setting. Press the MODE button to exit.
