A PPCH-G or 7350 high pressure gas (pneumatic) controller must have a stable high pressure gas supply to control within its specifications.

Fluke Calibration offers the GB-H-152-70M and GB-H-152-100M gas boosters to provide a stable high pressure gas supply. Both require a large volume of drive air to provide a stable high pressure test gas.

The below information may be confusing. In summary, if you want to buy a compressor to provide drive air to a GB-H booster then request a compressor that will provide up to 2280 l/m Free Air Delivery (FAD). This is 81 cfm FAD, or 2.3 m3/min FAD.

Below are the specifications for high pressure test gas and drive air. Note that our flow rate specifications are written in standard flow units that are at 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). However, air compressor manufacturers most often use FAD (Free Air Delivery) conditions. FAD is at the compressor's inlet conditions, typically 20C and 1 bar absolute or 70F and 14.7 psia. The values are very different for standard flow units and FAD!

GB-H-152 output pressure:
  GB-H-152-70M, 0.70 to 100 MPa (400 to 15000 psi)
  GB-H-152-100M, 0.35 to 120 MPa (200 to 17400 psi)

GB-H-152 drive air requirements:
Cleanliness: Not critical, use 60 micron filter
Humidity: 20 to 50% RH. Do not use dry gas (will decrease seal life). Do not use hazardous gases.

Pressure Range: 0.15 to 1 MPa (20 to 150 psig)
- For operation up to 50 MPa (7500 psi): 0.40 MPa (60 psig) minimum
- For operation up to 80 MPa (11600 psi): 0.55 MPa (80 psig) minimum
- For operation up to 100 MPa (15000 psi): 0.66 MPa (96 psig) minimum
- For operation up to 120 MPa (17400 psi): 0.80 MPa (116 psig) minimum

Flow rate requirements:
Maximum 2125 slm@0C and 101.325 kPaa  (15 to 75 scfm@0C and 14.7 psia). This is in standard flow units, not FAD.

Here are the above flow rates converted to FAD
= 2281 l/m at 20C and 101.325 kPaa
= 2.28 m3/min at 20C and 101.325 kPaa
= 80.9 cfm at 70F and 14.7 psia

Minimum 425 slm@0C and 101.325 kPaa (15 scfm@32F and 14.7 psia). This is in standard flow units, not FAD.

Here are the above flow rates converted to FAD
= 456 l/m at 20C and 101.325 kPaa
= 0.46 m3/min at 20C and 101.325 kPaa
= 16.2 cfm at 70F and 14.7 psia

GB-H-152 Test gas pressure supply:
Pressure Range: 4.8 to 40 MPa (700 to 6000 psi)
Flow: 140 to 560 slm at 0C and 101.325 kPaa (5 to 20 scfm at 32F and 14.7 psia)
