CPS-40M-HC40 (P5514B, TST-40M-HC40) Test Port Adapters & O-Rings

HC40 (Hand Tight Connection) are the TEST port connection adapters on these models of pressure accessories:

• CPS-40M-HC40
• TST-40M-HC40
• P5514B

Below is an image of CPS-40M-HC40 with 1/4 NPT-F adapter and analog gauge. The CPS-40M-HC40 is supplied with 9 adaptors in a case with o-rings: NPT (1/8, 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2) and BSP (1/8, 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2) and M14 x 1.5 (quantity 1 of each size adapter).  The full adapter kit with case is model PK-ADPTR-HC40 and is Fluke part number 5008258. The adapters come with an o-ring installed in them.

Below is an image of TST-40M-HC40 with 6270A pressure controller and analog gauge as Device Under Test (DUT). The TST-40M-HC40 is supplied with 9 adaptors in a case with o-rings: . The full adapter kit with case is model PK-ADPTR-HC40 and is Fluke part number 5008258. The adapters come with an o-ring installed in them.

Below is an image of P5514B with some of the included adapters installed in the TEST ports. P5514B includes two 1/4 NPT adapters and one each of the 1/2 NPT, 1/4 BSP and 1/2 BSP adapters (and o-rings). The P5514B can also use the same full 9 adapter kit as mentioned above including NPT and BSP (1/8, 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2) and M14 x 1.5with case model PK-ADPTR-HC40 is Fluke part number 5008258. The adapters come with an o-ring installed in them. The adapters are rated up to the 10k PSI maximum pressure of the P5514B. 

HC40 (Hand Tight Connection, 40 MPa / 6000 psi)

• The TEST port has a female, swiveling collar that is M20 X 1.5 thread and an o-ring inside of it at the bottom. 
• The 9 adaptors included with the CPS-40M-HC40 and TST-40M-HC40 are in a kit themselves with a storage case and o-rings. The full adapter kit with case is model PK-ADPTR-HC40 and is Fluke part number 5008258. The adapters come with an o-ring installed in them.
• The adapters and test devices seal on the o-rings, PTFE or other thread tape should not be used and wrenches are not required.
• Hand tight makes the seal in any rotational direction of the test device. The adaptor can be attached to the gauge, placed facing forward on the test port, and then the swiveling connection is turned to tighten the gauge
• The adapters themselves are rated to 20k PSI, but are limited based on being used with the 40M/6k PSI CPS or 10k PSI P5514B. The o-ring is the actual limiting factor as these adapters are not designed to seal against the threads. The o-ring will start to extrude beyond 20k PSI when hand tight as designed.  

1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and M14 x 1.5 adapters use any of these 3 o-rings:

• 3143327, O-RING,FKM,VITON,.070IN W,.239IN ID,70 DURO,RUST,SIZE -010 (7 are included in P5514B seal kit). However, these are not setup for sale. Order 1785497 instead.
• 3867895, O-RING,EPDM,1.78MM W,6.07MM ID,70 DURO,BLACK,SIZE 2-010 (included with P5514B-EP and in P5514B-EP seal kit)

1/8 adapters use this o-ring

• 1785510, O-RING,NBR,BUNA-N,.070IN W,.114IN ID,70 DURO,BLACK,SIZE 2-006.  (7 of these are included with the kit of adapters PK-ADPTR-HC40)
• 3135369, O-RING,FKM,VITON,.070IN W,.114IN ID,75 DURO,BROWN,SIZE 2-006
• 3865195, 54-703-10,O-RING VITON 1/4 X 1/16 X SEC (7 are included in P5514B seal kit). However, these are not setup for sale. Order 1785510 or 3135369 instead.

TEST port (M20x1.5) collar uses this o-ring
