Not all USB memory drives are created equal when recording data on a 2638A

Conditions:

Running a configuration file with “internal” memory selected

AND Resume scan selected

AND if the power is interrupted for any reason

Issue/Error:

If you are using certain types/brands of USB memory devices, when the

Fluke 2638A resumes power, after boot up it may give the following message:

“Error resuming data record” ERROR 655

Statement/Solution:

This is a result of the USB memory drive being slow to be detected with the 2638A operating system.

The only solution at this time is to use not that type/brand of USB memory device when attempting to resume scan after power failure when recording to a usb memory device.
