Title: Retrieving the logged data from the memory of my 1529

Problem Description: I have logged data in the 1529 and wish to save it to my computer.
Resolution/Work Around: The 1529 is capable of data logging up to 8,000 time- and date-stamped measurements and can be logged in intervals of 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds or 2, 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes.
The 1529 will allow you to either Demand Log or Auto Log. The Demand Log submenu allows measurements to be logged on demand, one reading at a time. Readings are stored to the instrument’s memory and assigned a label for easy recall and organization of data. The instruments memory can store up to 100 demand log readings. The Auto Log function allows measurements to be logged automatically in user-selectable intervals. Readings are stored to the instrument’s memory and assigned a label for easy recall and organization of data. The instruments memory can store up to 8,160 auto log readings.
Once the data is logged, you can use a program like HyperTerminal to help capture the data and store it into a .txt file. To do this you will need to connect your 1529 to your computer and run the HyperTerminal program. Name the new connection and click OK. Connect Using COM1 or a com port that is assigned to the 1529 and click OK. COM1 properties should be 9600 baud, 8 data bits, None parity, 1 stop bits, and None flow control. Note: baud rate may be different, depends on the settings in the 1529. Then, click OK. Now, on the menu bar locate Transfer and click on it. Click on Capture Text. Name the txt file and where it will be located on your PC. Click Start. On the 1529, Press the Enter/Menu button. Scroll to the right and select LOGGING and press ENTER button. Scroll to Demand Log or Auto Log, depending on the log session performed, and press Enter. Scroll to the right and select Print Data and press Enter button. Select the Label that the data was recorded under and Serial and press Enter. Press Enter to continue. This will load the data to the HyperTerminal. Once done, in HyperTerminal on the menu bar locate Transfer and click on it. Click on Capture Text. Click on Stop. The data has now been stored to a txt file on your computer.

Other Information: Also, the 9935 LogWare II software can help you create real-time log sessions or it can help you download logged data that is stored within the memory of the 1529. To download the memory, connect your 1529 to your computer and run the 9935 software. Once the 9935 software is loaded, click on the Download key at the top of your menu bar. Then click on Download Logged Data. Select Model: 1529 and Communication Settings: COM1 or other com port and Baud Rate: 9600 unless the 1529 is set otherwise. Test Communication. Once established, click OK. Now select the appropriate download options and click download. This will download the data and put it into a txt file.
