Views:

1- After you enter your username and password click on Datalog

2- Click on Setup and the following screen will show up. Here under Communication Protocol select RS-232.

3- Now click on Communication Settings, and select the COM where the RS-232 is connected in the computer (COM3 in the below picture is just an example), and also select 9600 as the baud rate.

4- Connect the RS232 cable to the 1620A

5- Now press the MENU key on the 1620A and then select SYSTEM

6- Using the UP and DOWN keys select COMM SETTING and click enter. Select SERIAL and then press ENTER.

7- Using the arrow keys select a Baud=9600, LF=ON, ECHO=OFF, SER PER= here you select the interval, and see next the options you have:

The SER PER parameter allows the user to select the interval at which measurements

are automatically transmitted over the serial port. The user may

choose between 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, and 30 seconds, 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 minutes,

and 1 hour.

8- Now click on Query Logger and wait until the sensor(s) appear on the window below. Finally click Start
