Why does my RCD or GFCI trip?

Applies To:

9144 & 9144-P

Problem Description:

While attempting to heat my 9144 trips my RCD or GFCI.

Resolution/Work Around:

Before initial use, after transport, or after storage in humid or semi-humid environments, the instrument must be energized for a "dry-out" period of 2 hours before it can be assumed to meet all of the safety requirements of the IEC 61010-2-010. Use a 2°C/min scan rate and a set point of 100°C.
