Here are the steps to backup a MET/BASE database (database that is used with MET/TRACK)

Typically, this is needed prior to sending the files to softwaresupport@flukecal.com for either troubleshooting or for migration to MET/TEAM.  This can also be used to create a backup of the data base when it is in a known or particular state that needs to be preserved.

We have two articles on this topic:

  • This one which, as the name implies does not require anyone to stop using MET/TRACK or MET/CAL.
  • The second, Where do I find the MET/BASE database and log file? which takes you thru the process to locate the actual files being used but you then need to get everyone out of MET/TRACK and MET/CAL so you can 'stop the calibration engine' and make copies of the file(s) via windows.

Either of the above articles will allow you to get the needed file(s) to send to Fluke, use whichever you find easier or if you know the process and location of your MET/BASE files already, neither article is needed.

NOTE:  If sending the files to softwaresupport@flukecal.com, be sure to zip the files to reduce the size and time they will take to upload.
