Technical Support Comark Dial Thermometers

The term Dial Thermometer covers a wide range of Comark Thermometers but essentially means any Thermometer based on the same mechanical principle of a bi-metal strip. These Thermometers will have no power supply and will operate by means of a bi-metal strip in a tube (the probe) affixed to a pointer on a calibrated dial showing the temperature. Calibration will be in the form of a nut on the reverse of the dial on some models and this will allow an adjustment to be added to the Thermometer. Where calibration is not possible the unit is calibrated for life from the factory and if found to be out of calibration at anytime must be disposed off. Those Thermometers that do have the ‘nut’ can be adjusted. Note that any Bi-metal Thermometer that is accidentally dropped onto a hard surface during use should be taken out of service until the calibration can be checked.

Comark Dial Thermometers are generally considered disposable due to their relative low cost.

If you are claiming warranty for any product returned to Fluke Service please ensure that you include all the necessary proof of purchase.

Troubleshooting

There is little troubleshooting for Comark Dial Thermometers as they are purely mechanical devices. If calibration fails to ensure correct working and they are within warranty period please consider returning them otherwise we would recommend replacement and responsible recycling.
