Copy your EVSW Database to a new PC

Use this guide to copy your EVSW Database to a new PC. When you need to upgrade your PC or Laptop you can take your EVSW Database with you, but the Database has to be copied manually. The following process will explain how to do this.

Identify which version of Software you have and install the correct version on the New PC

Check your ICONs on the Desktop to confirm which version of the EVSW Software you have installed, noting that there are two versions currently available, EVSW Standard version and EVSW Pro Professional version.

Download and install the latest version of the EVSW Software on the New PC

Note – Once installed do not open the software on the new PC until the old Database is copied across.

Instructions for Software and Driver Installation

• Do not plug the cradle into the PC before the software and USB drivers are installed
• Locate the downloaded file on the PC and run the setup file to install the software and USB Drivers
• Once installed you can connect your cradle
• Do not open the software at this stage

Navigate to the Data Folder on the PC

Navigate to the Data Folder on your PC according to the version of software installed, for example:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Comark\EV Standard\Data

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Comark\EV Professional\Data

In each of these folders there is another Folder called ‘Database’

Copy and Paste the old Database file to the new PC

Locate the Folder as above on the new PC and replace the Database folder with the copied folder from the Old PC. Start the EVSW Software and the old Database folder should be loaded, and you can continue to use your loggers as normal.
