This Article contains a step-by-step guide to help you setup your 1670 Series Installation tester to test against limits of CPD`s like Circuit breakers that are not listed in the provided preselection.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1) Turn on your 1670 Series Installationtester and press the button MENU

2) Click on Device Settings -> Measurement Settings -> Loop Limits

3) Change the CPD Type to Manual by clicking on the Change button:

4) You will now be able to enter your own Values for shortcut current (Ik), loop resistance (Z), Safety Factor and Safety Level by tapping each individual field on the screen:

Note: The Safety Factor is the limit you are testing against. If the test fails against this limit the result will show a red warning. We recommend to use a Safety Factor of 1.5.
The Safety Level limit can be set to create a limit that will give you a yellow warning, indicating that you are close to failing against the Safety Factor limit. We recommend setting the Safety Level slightly above the Safety Factor limit.
