This Article is about what to do if the Fluke-173X Series shows a message "Unable to Detect Battery" and what are your options.
In cases where the message "Unable to Detect Battery" is displayed make sure to follow the following initial use instructions.
The current state of charge can be verified by selecting the memory/settings button, F4 key then F2 for Info. It may take 20 seconds for a new or newly charged battery to be detected.
Start-up device.
Note color of Power ON/OFF button illumination.
No illumination -> no power.
Red illuminated -> state of charge below 18% and near to shut down.
Yellow illuminated -> state of charge >18%.
In case the device in power off but charging the battery, the Power ON/OFF button will be illuminated in blue color.
The battery should have at least a 20% state of charge for proper indication.
