FiberInspector Test Setup
Why doesn't the End Type save when I set up a FiberInspector test?
Make sure Module is set to "FiberInspector Pro"
An easy thing to miss when setting up a fiber scope test with a Fluke FI-1000 or FI-3000 and a Versiv device is that the module must be set to “FiberInspector Pro” in the Test Setup for all the End Types to be available and saved correctly.
This is easy to miss because the default module selection will match the current module attached to the back of the Versiv device. With the correct module type selected, this will allow you to save a test using any End Face type you need.
The module options for OptiFiber Pro OTDR and CertiFiber Pro OLTS will indeed allow you to select a FiberInspector test type, and will even allow you to select any of the available End Types at first. However, these alternate End Face selections will not save, and will have reverted to specific options when attempting to return to the Test Setup or running the scope test.
For the CertiFiber Pro, the End Face option will always default back to “1 x 8 (8 fibers)”
For the OptiFiber Pro, the End Face option will always default back to “1 fiber”
