This article is about saving a task file to PC and load to other 430-II analyzers

A task file contains setup and limits that a 430-II logger can use to quickly pre-setup settings prior to a logging.
It can also be used to program multiple 430-II loggers in the same way, rather then manually adjusting all parameters.

  • Saving a task file to logger
  • Download task file to PC
  • Upload task file to logger

Saving a task file to logger

Go to logger -> setup readings and select the parameters you want, press ok and start the logging.
Then press hold/run to stop the logging  and then save to store this measurement in memory.
Then press memory and you will see  save task (F2) and press it.

Give the task the name you want and press enter.

Then with recall/delete you will see the total overview in the memory and you also will see tasks there, these are the profiles with the measurements settings.

Uploading Task file to logger

Select from the dropdown connection list the logger and select download.
In the Downloads screen switch to Tasks.

Here now select Restore and look up the location where the DAT-file is saved.

Select the file and Press open .
The DAT-file will be uploaded and will also appear in the list and if the task is correctly loaded it is mentioned in the bottom left of the window with Task restored :

Afterwards check the loggers memory to see if the task is correctly uploaded.
