The below describes how to update the firmware in a LinkIQ
- Getting your Windows PC ready
- Check which firmware is currently installed in a LinkIQ
- Download the most recent firmware from the web
- Transfer the new firmware to the LinkIQ
Getting your Windows PC ready
Install the most recent version of LinkWare PC (TM) from the web.
Click HERE to go to the download page. It is recommended to download the "Standalone Download Version"
Connect the LinkIQ
Connect your LinkIQ as shown in the below picture.
Check which version of firmware is currently installed in the LinkIQ
There are two ways to do that
- From the LinkIQ's touch screen:
Tap the icon settings:
Scroll down and tap About
- From LinkWarePC:
At the top menu bar select Utilities --> LinkIQ --> Software Version ...
Download the most recent version of firmware from the web
Download the new firmware from HERE to the download folder on your computer
Update the firmware on the link IQ
At the top menu bar select Utilities --> Software Update --> and select the .SWU file you downloaded
This you will see on the LinkIQ.....
Do not power off or disconnect the USB cable during the process. The whole procedure should not take longer then 2 minutes.
