Question:

Why there's no connection between Power Log software and 435II Power Quality and energy Analyzers.

Answer:

The Fluke 430 II series II Power Quality and Energy Analyzers require two separate drivers to be installed:

       1) a Fluke 430 series II USB driver; 2) a dedicated Fluke USB Serial port driver. Both drivers need to be installed for the PC to be able to communicate with the 435 series II power quality analyzer.

       Steps to be followed:

     1. Please go to the link Fluke 430 Series II Software and Firmware | Fluke and download the Fluke 430 Series II USB drive.

   2. Once it is installed, please access the Device Manager by search “Device Manager" in the search bar next to the start menu

3. From the Device Manager click on the + sign or  to expand the “Universal Series Bus controllers’ group. The ‘Fluke 430 series II’ should now be listed here.

4. From the device manager click on the + sign or  to expand the “Other devices’ group. You will be able to see “USB serial port”, double click on that and click ‘update driver’ (run as administrator if needed) then it will ask you either update driver                online or update it manually. Select ‘update it manually’ and select the drive you downloaded before as directory. Once it is installed, you will be able to see ‘Fluke USB serial port (COM4)’.

5. Connect the USB cable between Fluke 435 II and your pc, and open the Power Log software, the unit will be recognized immediately:
