- The coarse thread of the lead screw 3921461 is lubricated with a film of Corrosion Control Wheel Bearing Grease.
- Apply a small amount of Krytox grease to the ball before fitting to end of lead screw assembly.
- Apply a thin film of Krytox® grease to the rambler seal 3867566, before carefully inserting rambler assembly into barrel. When correctly aligned, use a rubber or plastic mallet to drive the lead screw assembly into the barrel. Krytox grease is Fluke part number 2493420 and is Krytox® GPL205/6 High Temp Lubricant, 0.5 oz. tube. MSDS Sheet is here, Krytox Lubricant MSDS
- Ensure key 3917951 in ram nut 3921477 engages into mating slot in barrel 3921450, when tightening union nut 3921445.
Part number 3885994 is the lead screw assembly used in the above variable volume assembly. It is used for P30xx, P31xx , P5513 and P5515. It does not include the rambler, barrel, etc.
