Problem Description: I have two sets of lead wires and they read differently when connected to the 1594 or 1595. What is the best lead wires to use?
Resolution/Work Around:
At higher resistances the measurement becomes much more sensitive to electrical leakage and dielectric absorption of the cable insulation. The best types of cables use polypropylene or PTFE (Teflon) insulated wires. Minimize the length of the cable as much as possible. Using the Long timing mode (10 s Sample Period) of the 1594A/1595A might also improve the measurements.
