The Fluke iSee Thermal Camera is available in two models: The TC01A and TC01B.

The TC01A uses a USB-C connection. It is only compatible with Android devices.

The TC01B uses a Lightning connection. It is only compatible with iOS devices.

Connecting the TC01B to an iPhone 15 or newer

The iPhone 15 or newer uses a USB-C port to charge or attach accessories. In the past, iPhones used a proprietary connection call Lightning to charge and connect to devices, and the TC01B uses this connector. The camera is still fully compatible, but requires an adapter to go from Lightning to USB-C. We have tested the official first-party Apple adapter, so we can recommend that one.

Connecting the TC01A/TC01B to a phone with a protective case

Many users have a protective case over their phones, but the iSee camera was designed to fit flush against a bare smartphone. An adapter or extension cord can allow the camera to connect with any thickness of case.

Some adapters involve a cord, leaving the camera to dangle below. To be effective, the camera needs a steady support. A makeshift DIY support structure can be constructed out of simple materials. This allows the user to hold the phone and camera in one hand, and can then easily take photos and video with the other.

For example: a paint stirring stick, L bracket, and rubber bands can hold everything together like so:
