When trying to upload/download data from the 754, an error may occur saying “refreshing port.” This can be corrected by following the steps below.
Close the Software
In the “Type here to search” box at the bottom left of the screen, type Regedit
This will open the Registry Editor
On the left side, navigate to: My Computer/HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ProCal V5\
Look for Com Ports on the right side
Double-click the listing for Com Ports.
Enter the value:
NAME=COM5|RATE=9600|TIMEOUT=2000|RETRIES=3|POLLERTYPE=COM|DEVICETYPE=Fluke DPC|SELECTED=T|PATH=\\.\COM5
If your COM # is different change COM5 to that COM#.
In the “Type here to search” box at the bottom left of the screen, type Regedit

On the left side, navigate to: My Computer/HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ProCal V5\
Look for Com Ports on the right side
Double-click the listing for Com Ports.
Enter the value:
NAME=COM5|RATE=9600|TIMEOUT=2000|RETRIES=3|POLLERTYPE=COM|DEVICETYPE=Fluke DPC|SELECTED=T|PATH=\\.\COM5
If your COM # is different change COM5 to that COM#.
Go to the Options tab of the Upload/Download screen check "Force Memory Clear" and then save the setting.
