Question: Is it okay to use lithium or rechargeable batteries in Fluke devices?

Our product's specifications are typically defined with regular alkaline batteries in mind. The tool might turn on and appear to work fine with lithium or rechargeable batteries, but would not necessarily be performing to its full potential.

The voltage outputs and characteristics on these special batteries are different than alkaline, and they would affect the meter in ways we can't predict, so we can't promise it would continue to match the meter's specifications. So, despite some hypothetical advantages, we sadly do not recommend using lithium or rechargeable batteries unless the product’s manual or specifications specifically list them as acceptable.
