Fluke Networks driver issues on Windows 10 and 11 computers

- Why won't my modern PCs recognize my device?
Older Fluke Networks products can still be quite useful, but there can be difficulties connecting to modern computers as time goes on. These devices have software that can still be used on modern Windows systems, but the trouble comes when trying to get the devices recognized by the PC itself.

The drivers used for them are blocked by a Windows 10 and 11 security feature called Memory Integrity. This happens even if the user tries to manually install the drivers; they cannot be loaded as long as Memory Integrity is active.

The following Fluke Networks devices are known to be affected by this driver issue:
- DTX Cable Analyzer
- CableIQ Qualification Tester
- OptiFiber OTDR
- MultiFiber Pro Test Kit
- SimpliFiber Pro Test Kit

- Are the drivers being blocked, or simply missing?
Devices with drivers that are completely absent will appear in the “Other Devices” category. Error Code 28 in the device’s Properties is often associated with this.

Devices with drivers installed, but blocked by Memory Integrity, will appear in the “USB Fluke Networks Tester” category. Error Code 39 in the device’s Properties is often associated with this.

Attempting to install drivers while Memory Integrity is active produces an Error 39 message.

It is possible to disable memory integrity and continue with the driver installation, but you should always consult your IT department before making such a change. Not every company will be okay with a user disabling a security feature.

To disable Memory Integrity:
1) Navigate to Core Isolation Settings: Open the Core isolation page by clicking on "Start" > "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Security" > "Device Security."
2) Access Core Isolation Details: Under the "Core isolation" section, click "Core isolation details."
3) Disable Memory Integrity: Locate the "Memory Integrity" setting and toggle it off.
4) Restart Your Computer: Windows will prompt you to restart your computer to apply the changes. Proceed with the restart.

Typically, drivers that failed to fully load will now be complete after a restart. If not, you can manually install the drivers files.
The 64-bit drivers for the
DTX, OptiFiber, and CableIQ devices can be found here.
The 64-bit drivers for the MultiFiber Pro and SimpliFiber Pro are available by reaching out to support@flukenetworks.com.

It is possible to re-enable Memory Integrity, but only if the incompatible drivers are uninstalled and removed from the PC. A separate Fluke article goes into detail on uninstalling drivers and re-enabling Memory Integrity:
