The procedure of changing IP address of an MP150 scanner/ Scan IR3 scanner:

MP150 & Scan IR3 are factory shipped with default IP address of 192.168.42.30. Some customers based on their company IT structure may feel the need to change this default IP address. The procedure to change the default IP address of the scanner is given below.
This is how we do it!
1. Connect scanner to your PC using factory supplied Ethernet cable. Later, power up your scanner.
Configure IP address of your PC such that the first 3 octets of the IP address match with that of the default IP address of the scanner.
The subnet mask will be assigned automatically. Refer to the example shown below.
2. Ping the IP address of scanner as ping 192.168.42.30 –t. Response as shown below confirms that network connections are intact & scanner is communicating with PC.
Note: The first three octets of IP address of PC should be same as that of scanner i.e. for the example given above the IP address of the PC can be 192.168.42.X (where X can be any digit from 0 to 255 except 30)
3. Run XX 150 English/ Sectormaster English/ Zonemaster English program.
4. Under General tab, select Start/Stop. This would stop the scanner from taking measurements.
5. Under Windows tab, select Terminal.
6. Type the new IP address for the scanner e.g IP192.168.42.40 and press enter. The communication between the scanner and PC would then disconnect.
7. Close XX150 English/ Sectormaster English/ Zonemaster English program.
8. Run XX150 Configurator / Sectormaster Configurator / Zonemaster Configurator program. Modify the old IP address with new IP address. Click on Apply, OK.
9. Re-open XX 150 English/ Sectormaster English/ Zonemaster English program. Under General tab, select Start/Stop. Under Windows tab, select Terminal.
10. Type PS & press Enter.
11. The response ACK confirms that the command has been acknowledged and the scanner IP address has changed.
