In COMPASS for Pressure the ID of the Q-RPT of the reference device is not saved in the data file. For example if you have a PPC4 A7Ms SN 786 pressure controller with an attached RPM4 A2Ms/G200K pressure monitor and you AutoRange to 1.4 MPa (200 psi) the A2Ms will be used. But the only identifier of the reference device in the data file will be that it is PPC4 SN 786, Final Output Max 1.4 MPa.

This Test Macro will save the Q-RPT identifier (X1L) in this example to StringData1 in the datafile for each data point. Other parameters are available to be saved also (Autorange range, Autorange span, Q-RPT range, QRPT span, QRPT mode)

You can then choose to put this information on your calibration report, leave it in the data file for traceability or use for other calculations (measurement uncertainty, etc.).

If you want to use more than one Test Macro during a test see this article, Macros: Call multiple macros with a single macro

A link to a file that contains the macro text is below the image. Copy the code in the file and paste to a new Test Macro in the COMPASS Macro Editor. Paste using [Ctrl]+[v] because right-clicking the mouse doesn't work in the Macro Editor.
